Royal Caribbean ships offer vacationers a ton of options, whether it be for dining (some vessels have more than 20 distinct places to grab a bite) or entertainment. If you like to gamble, you will find the largest floating casino in the world onboard Allure of the Seas with ~1.650m2/18,000ft of space. It’s very impressive to experience, and besides the regular slot machines and table games, there are lots of fun competitions and raffles every day. Furthermore, it’s one of the few cruise ships that have craps tables onboard (world’s funniest and most social casino game by far). There was quite a bit of queuing during disembarking on the final day though, but I guess that’s to be expected. A good tip is to settle your bill the night before (we highly recommend prepaying the gratuities before your trip, so you don’t have to worry about that part).

Dining on Royal Caribbean
If you love megaships in all their glorious glory, this is the cruise line for you. Royal boasts four of the largest cruise ships in the world—Symphony of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas—and its upcoming Wonder of the Seas will top the charts in size. Many of the credit card offers that appear on this site are from credit card companies from which we receive financial compensation.
Fellow Passengers
Perhaps the most bizarre attractions ever conceived for a cruise ship, they are giant mechanical arms topped with glass-enclosed capsules that will take you soaring above the ships for the view. One of Royal Caribbean's great strengths is its theater entertainment, which can be mind-blowing at times — i.e., you won't believe you're seeing what you're seeing on a cruise ship. At 78,808 tons, Rhapsody of the Seas is a third the size of the biggest Royal Caribbean ships. Expect a more intimate experience than what you'll find on the bustling Icon-class, Oasis-class, Quantum-class and Freedom-class ships mentioned above. That said, Freedom of the Seas still has a huge amount to offer for all sorts of travelers, from couples to families with kids.
How much does a Royal Caribbean cruise cost?
It's the class of ships where Royal Caribbean made the most effort to appeal to solo travelers. With access to a stylish rooftop pool, loungers at the suite area's private sun deck and higher-level food in its private Coastal Kitchen eatery, you may never want to leave the enclave. However, this being Royal Caribbean, you'll also have access to a seemingly endless array of amusements from waterslides to aerial water shows just steps away. Many of these family-friendly accommodations are near a new-for-the-line outdoor "neighborhood" called Surfside, which is dedicated to families with young children. Surfside features splash areas for babies and kids, pools and lounge spaces for parents, family-friendly eateries and shops, and a bar with "mommy and me" matching mocktails for kids and cocktails for grownups. For the most up-to-date testing, masking, and vaccination requirements aboard Voyager of the Seas, please refer to Royal Caribbean.
In addition, the spa and gym were updated, and new Inside and Balcony cabins were added. Today the ship docks at Royal Caribbean’s own Bahamian island, the Perfect Day at CocoCay. But the reality of the island is far less humorous than that. Of course you could also choose to upgrade from a standard cabin to a room with a balcony, or even a suite. Browse through the gallery on this page to see some of the amazing suites they have to offer.
Jewel of the Seas Review
One place where we loved the dining options was on Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas, CocoCay. You'll have access to plenty of complimentary drinks, snacks, and meal options while on the island - and the same goes for RCCL's other private island, Perfect Day in Labadee, Haiti. We present our favorite Royal Caribbean Baltimore cruise reviews. They look useful and entertaining in a seaplane grandeur. It is wise to learn from the experiences of past travelers.
Some Royal Caribbean ships — such as the line's Oasis-class vessels and recently launched Icon of the Seas — are built with far more family-focused activities than others. Some, such as the two-year-old Wonder of the Seas, have added features that appeal to luxury-loving travelers. Other Royal Caribbean ships operate on particularly low-cost itineraries that are best for budget travelers.

On Oasis Class ships, there's also an outdoor Boardwalk area with a hand-carved carousel. On the new Icon Class ships, the Boardwalk area is replaced with a watery play zone for younger kids called Surfside. Some of the extra-charge eateries come with a flat fee, usually around $35 to $50 per person, not including the cost of drinks.
Where does Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas sail to?
The smaller ships also appeal to a subset of Royal Caribbean fans who like a little more intimacy in a cruise vessel and don't mind giving up some onboard amenities to get it. These ships are also often less expensive for travelers on a per-day basis. For the most part, its top deck only offers pools, whirlpools and sunning areas, as is typical for ships built in the 1990s. As a result, it draws far fewer families than the vessels above and caters more to an older crowd of mostly couples.

On some vessels, such as the Quantum Class ships, you'll find a dedicated space with games and a widescreen TV called The Living Room where teens can hang out, plus a teens-only disco called Fuel. You'll also find all sorts of other fun-focused attractions — giant rock climbing walls, surfing simulators, zip lines, miniature golf courses and basketball courts, to name a few. Some recently built ships even have skydiving simulators — giant acrylic tubes where you get to experience the sensation of skydiving. On Oasis Class ships, there also are 735-seat outdoor "aqua theaters" that are home to dazzling aerial and water shows (Icon of the Seas has its own version of this under a glass dome called the AquaDome). Quantum Class ships have Two70, an extraordinary, high-tech theater space that offers multisensory shows combining singing, dancing and acrobatics.
He committed a double mistake by booking a non-refundable cruise fare, which is one of my pitfalls to avoid. This is not the company it used to be, save your money and book elsewhere. I contacted the company several times but they never responded so now I am resorting to social media. I hardly spent any time with my children on my long-awaited vacation, because all my time was spent trying to get us a room. TWICE ROYAL CARRIBEAN canceled their trip, but they make it as difficult as possible to get your money back.
Unlimited alcohol and beverages 24/7 – everything from exotic cocktails, premium coffees, beers, smoothies – you name it. The downside is it will cost you a total price of ~€1.100 for the entire cruise. In the example above we chose a Classic Soda Package and a Refreshment Package, which was plenty for our needs.
They asked that everything was found but during the checkup they rejected one of our documents. I showed them what I got from Royal Caribbean, the officer said they gave wrong information. Royal Caribbean shipped but it is incorrect and they still took my money.
They understand that the chicken gyro at “Feta Mediterranean,” in the AquaDome Market, is the least problematic form of chicken on the ship. Tomorrow, I will spend more time with him, but first the ship docks at St. Thomas, in the U.S. Charlotte Amalie, the capital, is more charming in name than in presence, but I still all but jump off the ship to score a juicy oxtail and plantains at the well-known Petite Pump Room, overlooking the harbor.
